Filter by: wattage range, IP rating, colour temperature, brand, and price. Key specs to check for each listing: lumen output and efficacy (lm/W) - some sellers list watts without lumens. Driver brand (ask if not listed). BIS certificate number - verify on manakonline.in. Warranty duration and terms. Seller rating and past order count. Compare at least 3 listings for the same wattage before selecting. The lowest price is rarely the best value - check efficacy and warranty carefully.
GeM Bid and RA (Reverse Auction)
For orders above ₹25,000 (threshold varies), GeM buyers must conduct a Bid or Reverse Auction (RA) rather than direct purchase. Bid: you publish requirements, sellers submit prices. RA: sellers compete by progressively lowering price in real time. For LED street light bids: always include technical specifications in the bid document - minimum efficacy, IP rating, BIS certification, and warranty. A RA that only competes on price with no minimum technical spec will attract the cheapest, lowest quality products. Lock specifications, then let the RA find the best price among compliant products.
