Punjab's power department has issued a corrigendum on a ₹43 crore tender covering octagonal high mast lighting towers fitted with solar-based LED street lights, continuing a procurement round that has already gone through more than one revision this year.
Scope
The tender covers supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of high mast towers designed for wide-area coverage — typically deployed at highway junctions, market squares, and large public grounds where a cluster of conventional poles would be less efficient.
What bidders need
As with most high mast tenders of this scale, technical qualification requires BIS-certified LED fixtures and MNRE-approved solar components, alongside a demonstrated track record on similarly large public lighting contracts.
