Why Theme Lighting Matters for Indian Cities

Generic GI poles are infrastructure. Themed poles are identity markers. When Nashik installs lights near the Godavari ghats that echo the temple architecture, or Pandharpur lines the Vari route with Vitthal-motif poles, the lighting becomes part of the religious and cultural experience - not just a safety feature. Surveys in cities that have installed heritage lighting report: increased tourist satisfaction scores, higher footfall at heritage sites after dark, increased local pride and cleanliness (people litter less in spaces that feel valued), and increased commercial activity on illuminated heritage streets.

Material and Finish Options

Mild Steel (MS) with hot-dip galvanising + polyurethane topcoat: best durability for standard conditions, 20+ year life. Cast Iron with enamel finish: highest detail in ornamental work - the traditional choice for Victorian and colonial heritage designs. Heavier and more expensive but incomparable in visual quality. Stainless Steel 316: for coastal environments (Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu coast) - completely corrosion-resistant, can be mirror-polished or satin finish. FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic): lightweight, rust-free, UV-stable - for aggressive chemical environments and coastal areas on a budget. Finish options: powder coat (minimum 60 microns), two-pack polyurethane paint (80+ microns), automotive-grade metallic finishes, gold/silver metallic powder coat for premium applications.

Custom Design Process

Xera Tech accepts custom theme pole orders. The process: submit design brief with reference images, dimensions, and quantity. The in-house design team creates CAD drawings (2D elevation + 3D render) for approval within 5–7 working days. Client approves or requests revisions (up to 2 rounds included). Production begins on approval - prototype first unit available in 3–4 weeks for physical review. Full production of approved design: 2–4 weeks per 50 poles. Minimum order for custom designs: 10 poles. For very small quantities (less than 10), select from the existing catalogue range - over 60 designs available.
